Panther Platform Rentals’ new national service centre, purpose-built for the repair and refurbishment of machines, is now fully operational. The centre forms part of Panther’s Luton HQ, which opened early this year, and is headed up by National Service Manager Dave Perry.

The team provides a support role for Panther’s Luton operation and for the company’s depots around the country. This includes technical backup, parts sourcing, engineer co-ordinating, central call handling and general support for customers. The centre’s launch comes in the wake of the opening of two new Panther depots, in Manchester and East Midlands, during the past two years.

“As one of the most experienced teams in the powered access industry, we needed a dedicated service operation in order to maintain our ever-increasing fleet in tip-top condition,” said Dave Perry. “Our mission is to provide the best service in the industry which is consistent across all our depots, our service centre allows us to manage and continually monitor this process.”

“We’re currently concentrating on expanding Panther Platform Rentals in order to cater for a client base that extends countrywide,” said joint Panther Managing Director Brian Fleckney. “The opening of our new service centre was timed precisely to streamline fleet maintenance and ensure best practice.”

Panther invested in boosting their fleet of machines earlier this year, following the company’s acquisition by Lavendon Group, Europe’s leading supplier of powered access equipment. The investment consisted of a wide range of scissor and boom lifts from major suppliers including Niftylift, Skyjack and Genie.
